Skies

.
To me a sunset is a moment of grace, a moment of meditation… and sharing: I am touched by this moment shared with others, unknown, silent in front of the sight, respectful in front of so much beauty, daring in colors, Nature, Life… never reasonable.

It is a work of abstract art, ephemeral, constantly renewed… by the movements of the clouds, the sun… colors, a moment of peace that poses me, and makes me fall into the Infinite… touches me deep down.
Tirelessly evoking the beauty of Nature, my main source of inspiration, it nourishes, not only the body, but also provides healing, a rediscovered unity.

My way in painting??? an alarm cry?? or a luminous breath? A cry of joy?
To transmit in Matter, Life, the vibrations of Life, and Life is Love: the sun, the moon, the ocean, the forests, the flowers… Nature is an offering of love, of essential beauty.
Through my painting I wish to transmit this beauty, this moment of grace, this power of Life, an emotion of joy, a feeling of deep peace…
Love in matter, reconsidering love in matter, the power of the vibrations of life… it helps me to sweep away all that is not alive, helps me to connect inwardly, gives meaning to my life on Earth.

What is the meaning I want to give to my passage on this planet?
To transmit this vibration and power of Life.

Mysteries

These small landscapes, created with color inks, are the pure product of my freedom of creation. I had fun playing with colors…

My starting point could be seascapes, or country landscapes, a sunset over the ocean, trees on the horizon…

They have become a new representation of reality, a different image… Without wanting to represent the real world, without imitating it, or copying it, no reminder of reality, whether reality is or is not the starting point of my painting…

Rather what it represents to me, the power I feel in nature…

It is a visual language, which frees itself from subjects or objects, the natural world, real or imaginary, and represents forms and colors, for themselves.

That is why I called them “mysteries”,

Only their beauty, with the force of the colors, can touch, exceed human intelligence, intellect, and meet emotion… it is like an opening to the central mystery: a truth inaccessible to the mind, but only to the heart… the mystery of Life…

Exotic dream

“I often have this strange and penetrating dream…” of a world full of love, peace and harmony…
This new series of paintings represents for me a kind of dreamlike journey, a shift in time, in space…

It seems to me that I enter into a dream, thanks to these flowers, exotic, which remind me of the Chinese orange tree in my garden, and transports me far away…
I almost smell the scent of the Tiare, a mixture of vanilla and jasmine, a mixture of the frangipani and the Ixora…

The essence of things…
Games of shapes, and colors, different techniques, a background in pouring, fluid paintings, and flowers with knife… these different techniques bring a dynamic and a strangeness to this simple landscape, natural…

These works take root in this imaginary beyond the framework of reality.
Everything merges, juxtaposes… what element does this colorful background evoke ?
More perspective, we enter a new world, a new vision… it is both exotic and reassuring, strange and familiar, these flowers are the key to this little journey in the imagination…
A figurative key that reassures, beautiful and radiant with this background that one feels bubbling with life, which can seem disturbing by its strangeness.
For some it’s water, for others it’s foliage… flowers, sparkling bubbles of life… which gives it a little dreamlike touch.
Life is in full swing in these paintings…
During my last opening, I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing the comments… my desire to rejoice the heart and eyes was fulfilled…
I thank those who let themselves be moved.

Sunset

I enjoy playing with the light in its pure state, in its original power : skies, shimmers, blazes. I play with contrasts brightness/softness, strength/joy. In this small work, I enjoyed working the transparency of colors, material effects and lights, by a mixture of watercolors and inks. A small painting, all in lightness, full of sweetness, and joy ; I want my paintings to make people who look at them want to plunge into peace, the beauty of nature and our planet and find a kind of natural resource of gentleness and strength, for what we have to do: save the world.

Liberty

‘Liberty’ – because I wish to paint the force of Joy, the power of Love and Liberty. I like to surf between figurative and abstract, to interpret Nature, to paint the emotions they inspire, gentleness,.. the movement of clouds in the sky, the strength of a flower emerging from the earth, sometimes concrete, I paint the lines these all leave within me, I can feel the rhythm of my life beating, Love… bounty, hope, infinite peace.

Sur la lèvre de la vague

Every day I see the ocean, and of course I have been tempted to paint the waves, the foam, the changing colors of the water, the reflections of the sun that vary depending on the time of day I’m at the beach… A few years ago I have painted rather figurative waves, I wanted to switch to abstract completely…

Water mirrors… bright colours… here, I seek a liberation of the subject and the composition,
with a kind of opening of the pictural space, the colour play becomes the main substance. The color is not at the service of the representation of the subject, of the drawing… it is the “matter” itself.

Symphony

As an “Ocean” painter… I have a lot of fun translating what I feel with the “pouring” technique :
the ocean splashes us with its energy, its force, its life… and the ultimate wave breaks into a burst of foam…
Shimmering, sun rays, moon lights… All these tiny bubbles, of all kinds of colours, joyful, alive, playful…
remind me, like musical notes, of a symphony… tender… amusing… lighthearted,
rhythmic like the ebb and flow of the sea…

Feu solaire

I created this series in the middle of quarantine, like celebrating the strong and powerful movement of the earth :
a reconquest of the pulse of life, a ground work, like the lava of a vulcan, or a reddening sky, like the beauty of a sunset,
showing the importance of this call of Nature to Love our planet.

Inside

“Oceanic painter”, I love to play with this fluid paint technique :
ocean ? foam ?… the summer, the summer colors, yellow, green, blue…

foliage with sun rays ?

a bursting wave ? under the water ? in the eddies of the ocean and reflections of light… anything is possible, and the abstract allows to escape in these harmonies of sparkling colors.

Yellow vibes

I love it when mimosas bloom all over the city, and announce spring in their luminous way, the turquoise blue grey of the foliage and the radiant yellow of the small flowers are a marvel… that rejoices the heart.
I wanted to treat this subject in an abstract way, using the “pouring” technique… fluid paint, acrylic, on japanese paper.

Lumières d'automne

I use bright, strong colours in a sparkling harmony of life.
Softness and vivacity are side by side, lights and opacity respond…
Each work is a burst of colour, a real impulse.

The sun’s light effects in the sky, on the water…

Knife effects, with home made or altered tools, in action,
dynamics of the movement, power of the selected strong colours, joyous, alive…
The search for vibrations, matter effects, and transparancies, to create a moment of emotion,
a surprise, a few moments to halt : and the “small miracle” of mental stop becomes possible…
Only the heart makes a dive into life… ?

Life Pulse

Mirrors of water… brilliant colors… here, I am looking for a liberation of the subject and the composition, with a kind of opening of the pictorial space, the play of colors becomes the main substance. The color is not put at the service of the representation of the subject, of the drawing… it is the “material” itself.

What a pleasure to paint this collection, all transparancy, lightness, sweetness… while simultaneously trying to express the strength of Nature, light between the branches of trees, or reflexions of the sun on the water, the mineral, the vegetation, and the aerial… profoundness of the blue, turquoise colors…

Sunset: moment of grace, emotion, joy, peace, like a declaration of love for the universe.
I take great pleasure in playing with pure light, in its original power: skies, shimmers, blazes.
I play with the contrasts of brightness / softness, strength / joy.

Pouring

.

I love this small series that I find very cheerful, pretty, and full of grace. I’m looking for new color harmonies to translate life in the water. I am very happy with the result.

For these small works, I chose a slightly offbeat technique: «pouring», a very lively technique, full of surprises as to the color scheme and liquid paints… I love this kind of adventure, I launch the colors knowing what I want to achieve, and… I play with everything I can to create beautiful matter effects… there is always a kind of suspense… I have very little time to react… 15 minutes. I love this fast and very playful work, I feel a real joy to explore this means of expression…

I like to create beautiful paintings in large or small format, waves, or water lilies on a calm but alive water, water that I often translate by working with scrapers or knives… but here, it is with liquid paints that mix together without becoming brown… that I try to create living water, and full of resources.

The meaning I give to my painting is to show the beauty of nature, and its harmony. Life itself.
These small canvases can be associated with others of the same colors and same idea.
